I'm passing trough again to request Bi-directionnal loop with release point for cross-fade loops :) I use to work with this on trackers and had some awesome results. S series do it to ( release loop )

You should all look how modplug tracker and renoise manage sampling brilliantly !

I have a great suggestions. How about have the Renaissance be able to do everything that the MPC 2500 can do. How is it possible that the latest and greatest MPC can't do everything that the older MPCs can do. That's just mind boggling and bass ackwards. Totally inexcusable for them to get on camera and say they didn't think that people would want step edit, so they left it out. A feature they've been putting in all MPCs for the last 15 years or so and they just decided "Well, I think the people don't want that anymore. Step edit is the main reason I bought the Renaissance. It's the main reason why a lot of DAW based producers smashed their NI Maschines, because it lacked that midi editing capability that we needed. Then we read the old MPC manuals, and we were like "Step edit!!! Finally we have a product that is truly the best of both worlds as far as a drum machine with DAW midi editing capabilities while being powered by a personal computer. I might as well own an MPC 2500, 5000, or 1000. Even the MPC 2000 and 3000 has step edit.

1- Drum program to Keygroup program conversion;
2- Real independent filters without the necessity to enter in the program edit menu and set up the q-links;
3- Recordable Song mode, where you could play patterns on the pads, recording your song in real time, using your patterns as samples in the pads. Midi Sequences would respond exactly as samples ( like one shot or note on )
4-MULT programs support like the 4000
5- Realtime Timestrech
6- Reverse sample key or something (to not use the sample edit mode, etc, etc)
7- Paste and copy patterns from pads to pads. Easy way to play patterns in on the next sequence mode, with more freedom. Sequences) must be react as samples (one shot, note on)
8- setting up colors support for pads (sequences, sounds, etc)
9- copy-past tracks on pads
- just saying...hehehe

just saying lol...

What are you talking about specifically? Are you referring to hardware MPC function where you can set BPM to Sequence or Master? When set to Master, all Sequences will play at the same BPM?

mega77 wrote:Yes Jah that is correct .I was shocked when I notice the Ren didn't have this .Its been in every Akai mpc .

True. But I have never used that function before. You are the first to mention it in the forum I believe.

"Pin" open vst(i) window.

I'd like to be able to pin any vst window so that when I open another vst I can see both at the same time or have as many open as I want at the same time as opposed to only having any one window open at a given time.

For example, pin an instrument and adjust setting while simultaneously adjusting the settings on a compressor that is inserted on the program without having to go back and forth opening window after window.

After that I'd also like to see the ability to detach and pin any edit section of the MPC software... like the mixer for example.

Pitch envelope in the sampler...

Seriously why isn't there an envelope to control pitch?

Well really just a spare envelope with the ability to set a destination would be pretty amazing and I think that it should be standard in any sampler. :WTF:

In the PROG MIX view from the hardware it would be nice to jump to the respective pad on the screen after hitting the actual pad. i.e. if I want to put an insert effect on A01 I currently have to use the cursor keys to navigate there on the hardware screen. Surely using the hardware pads to select the pad on the screen makes as much sense?

Same goes for TRACK MIX.

This really just makes sense, no?

1. Audio tracks
2. Low latency
3. 100% control of the software from the hardware (no mouse clicking)
4. Turn off pad lights Controller mode
5. Send pgm to midi notes
