Best DJ Mixer for Scratching, Hip-Hop

Since I'm talking the most knowledgable cats in the biz, I want your opinion on the best street DJ mixer for scratching, specifically to use on beats, to bring in chorus, set up a climax, etc.

I really wouldnt post the same question, in different categories. You wont get the answers any quicker...

vestax pmc-05 or 07 these are the best imo

i use a numark ppd-01 digital joint, this is pretty cool cause it has a bunch of effects built in, but i've already had to have it repaired twice, so keep that in mind. the vestax never need reparing, well almost never

My Stanton kicks rear. Granted, I went through the first 3-4 faders with a quickness (1 every 3 weeks), but after they fixed the Focus Fader, damn, I haven't had a prob since...and I cut a frickin' lot...and I've been on the same fader for about 3 years now, maybe 2.5. Furthermore, their customer service rocks!

the question is, if you get a good focus fader? i have a boy that went through 5 (yes 5) focus faders, then the last time he got it fixed, he says it's never givin him a problem since. i agree, i think that a WORKING focus fader is probably the best scratch fader on teh market.

the focus fader is a brilliant idea but stanton **** that up pretty good. made in china.

i second that. ever tried the rane 56, ecler 360 OR pioneer 707/909 faders? imo the focus fader is crap compared to those...

best quality faders and adjustable cut in times on all of the faders

the rane has lifetime magnetic faders on all of its faders but ive been using vestax since i started, find a place to try them out

I broke the focus fader the day I got it, got another one and never used it b/c the alpes fader was better. That ish ended up on ebay by the end of the month> got a rane and never looked back

F the bullsh!t. get a rane ttm 56, hands down the best. i own a vestax 05 pro and 07, used to own the stanton with focus fader(s), and started dj'ing with a numark.

Yeah man the TTM-56, hands down like 6:30 is the best there is. Sound quality and features are better than anything else. I had a Gemeni, the 05, still have the DJM-500, and had the TTM 56 for over a year and a half. I put my gear thru hell, and never had a problem with it. If you got the cash and you know you are gonna stick with spinning...buy it

i love my Xone:02, but it's a rarity here in the states to find. i got lucky to get it for a cheap price--it's a dope mixer.


my homies have 56's, and they're def on par too.

i used to own a 05 and 07, but vestax's sound quality isn't up to par to other mixers these days. however, i might pick up a used limited 07 cause it looks DAMN sexy.
