For instance, if I want to use a VST EQ across an entire program, how would I go about doing that? All I see now is pad effects, which I assume I would have to set up the same effect on each pad, and track effects. Is there something I am missing?
Hi Maze,
I'll answer your question but you probably have not gotten an answer because this has been gone over many times thoroughly here.
You have a few options.
1) Write all of the MIDI parts on the same track (don't use any individual program inserts) and you can use the one track as a bus channel with inserts.
2) The other option is to load all of your samples on to a Keygroup program rather than a drum program because you can apply FX to a whole keygroup
3) Your third option is to route all of the sounds out to your DAW or another program and apply your inserts there.
I believe all of this could be solved by adding inserts to Submixes, and letting us have at least 16 Submixes.
