Ibunshi... that drum programming is sexy. I actually play drums so when it comes time for some MPC-production, I usually end up frustrated when trying to program shit. Not sure what is up but I do not think there is ADSR in the free JJOS or OS1. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. Buzz kill.

thanks man, though i think that control over attack and decay might be enough in most situations, for me anyway.. when i think about it, 90% if not more of the times, i only adjust attack and decay, and only use the release/sustain if i want bit of longer background tail/air to the shorter sounding ghost notes, so that the air ends up subtly filling whatever gaps it may overlap, which can make things breathe a little bit... but for that i tend to use convolution reverb on the drum channel i will use to record it all in cubase.

my old mpc, the 2000XL, only had attack and decay.. but can't remember if i could tweak both at the same time, as in being able to first make a drum short, and then softening the attack to make it sound more like a light ghost note.. and don't know about any other mpc's
