not technics but..???

I'm on the hunt for a set of TTs
Def in the pro spectrum, but hiding in the budget range.
Not technics but...

I have a 1210 already.. I also have two 1200's but those two are my mums, lol.

So I'm def looking for something tech compatible.

My option would be to get another tech 12** and a sampling tt.
or two juggling tts.

Any insight would be appreciated.

And to note, I'm not a beginner. I've been djing n scratching for over 12 years!

Gemini PT 1000 or the PT 2000 is the closest and cheapest you can get as Technic clones. Give them a spin, just a slight difference.

I've always been anti-gemini since my first tt'ss were sa-600's and they were horrible yo!

I also don't mind an updated tt style, with features n stuff..

S arm is a must, don't need a crazy pitch adjust.. 8-20 will do just fine, reverse would be nice but not essential.

I used to live a block away from the Gemini factory in Brooklyn and my brother would always cop DJ gear from them dirt cheap. They turned him on to the PT 2000 and he was rocking them at jams and parties. Many DJs were impressed with those tables, even the legendary Clark Kent who rocked tech 12's. The difference between the two is that the Technics felt extra smooth like as if on ball bearings and grease, while PTs felt smooth on rotating gears. My bro had them for 6 years until he sold it all for cocaine. Shame, his skills on the decks was up to par with DJ SCRATCH of EPMD.

My bad Padlock, I forgot. I wouldn't have wrote it. But he's off everything and is a foreman for a metal factory in New York. Nowadays he's just downloading music and playing it in his car, he doesn't want to DJ anymore. He's into southern trap beats though and makes remix-tapes with a dj app. He was the oldest but didn't like me touching his tables, but when he leaves...

Vestax are choice as well.
