I would have very little need to open PT, Cubase, or Ableton if the Ren had audio tracks. I use it as a standalone workstation and not as a plugin. I wouldn't want to have to open up a DAW to record the synths I recorded as Ren MIDI tracks as audio. Boooo.

The Ren's mixer is an update to what you see in the MPC 2500, 4000, and 5000. So in that sense....all MPCs have a '20yo mixer model coming straight out from a low-Budget DJ-Mixer.' I am outraged!

No experience with the 2500/5000 but the mixer on the 4000 is universal.

I mean it's a very basic Mixer compared to the DAW flexible routing scheme.
Just some Volume Faders, a Vu-metre per channel (but no scale, no -∞db/0db/6db value showed), 4 inserts, 4 global sub-mixes, no real flexibility.
At least It need a Mixing Tab per channel.

Could you tell us what is really planned for next update please ?

You mean the MPC 4000s mixer which is essentially a MIDI mixer which doesn't have any insert FXs and routing capabilities?

The Ren has program mixers which are 'universal'.

Also note that the MPC 4000 doesn't have a Track Mixer. It has a Program/Pad mixer which all MPCs have (to include the Ren/Studio). You can use this mixer in any sequence..and maintains its settings.

The 4000 also has a Part mixer which is simply a mixer for up to 32 programs within a multi. It acts pretty much the same as the Pad Mixer.

Basic Audio Track would be very Easy.

with a Audio Interface with multiple Outputs Input such as mine ( Profire 2626)

i could record in Synch audio track into Wav. format in the software, without going into SAMPLE EDIT TO RECORD EACH SOUND INDIVIDUALLY!

ASSIGN THE MIDI PORT CHANNEL WITH DESIGNATED AUDIO INPUT FROM THE AUDIO INTERFACE CHOSEN IN THE PREFERENCE< GENERAL I/O

once you record your midi ( during overdub /or record ) the audio channel is being recorded in Monitoring Mode( with the option to remove)
audio should be seen in MAIN PAGE as well, NOT in SAMPLE EDIT

Agreed. I would also like to edit audio tracks directly in the sequencer grid.

Does it even need standard DAW style audio tracks?

Maybe it could record the audio, automatically assign it to a pad, and place a MIDI note in the sequencer where it started, so the recorded audio is treated just like any other MPC sample within the sequencer, without much difference to the way the software operates?
