Hi Guys, (long time no rant)

Has anyone ever had this problem using the Studio/or Ren as a VST in Cubase 5 (+)
when bouncing down to Stereo using the Audio Mixdown feature in Cubase where the MPC sounds is out of time with the audio on Cubase?

I have tried both normal and real-time modes and the results are horrid. Thinking I might have to bounce the audio outside of Cubase and import them in that way. Seems pointless though as I shouldn't have to do that.

I use Cubase 5 and have same problem when mixing MPC plugin with a lot of plugin + mastering effects on the Stereo Out.. It makes the sound of the plugin stuttering and out of sync.

Tips you can do is as I do actually.

- First create Group tracks then send each outputs from the MPC soft to them. ( Input of the Group1 will be MPC 1-2, Group2 MPC 3-4 etc ... )

- Create then Audio tracks and route the Groups to the audiotracks Input.

- Arm and record the tracks live ( Be sure the monitoring is Off on the audio tracks if you don't want to hear the double signal ).

- Suppress the plugin from your project and mix your song with the MPC waves, and finally Export.

I know it's boring to work this way but It works very great and it's good to get the habits to mix with wave stems since every Instrument plugins have a bit of latency.

So, Hope that will help Cubase Users with the same issue. And Thanks DJ Hellfire for sharing this workaround on Pro-Tools, Inspiring me to transpose it to Cubase 5.

Note : You can also do It with One Single GroupTrack simply routing Every MPC Plugin output to it then to an audiotrack. Then recording the whole mixdown in a single audiotrack live.

Thanks mate, had to read this a few times, to recognize this is more of an internal bounce of audio in Cubase which obviously makes sense cause then you can get on as you would any other Cubase project.

Hmmm.. gonna have a think about this process, as I often do this on tracks that have a lot of effects running to simplify the workload.

Hmmm.. I am gonna use the bounce to project feature in audio mixdown to see (with and without real-time) to see if that helps but only selecting the MPC Tracks as I always route the channels to separate channels to the Cubase mixer.

Thanks...

Well, this is how I got round it...

Great that I had all my drums routed from the MPC to their own separate tracks, as this helps alot in terms of EQ, Dynamics etc..

So all I had to do was Export the drums in the "VST Instrument Channels", however you must select about 4 or 8 bars depending on how much or long your sequences are, as you might need to do this operation in parts, but for short seqs or drum patterns this method is quick and plain less.

Then select "Realtime Export" and "Pool" and "Audio Track" options so that it spits it right onto your existing project and volia! all done!

Now you can export the whole thing like you normally would!!

Thanks "comtox", your suggestion put me on the right path!
