I'm new to the MPC.I used to sample with Acid Pro and Soundforge, while making my beats with Reason. In Soundforge it used to be easy to get rid of clicks and cracks.

Now i really want to learn to do everything from the MPC, in stead of using 2 or 3 programs to make beats.

Is there a possibility to get rid of clicks and cracks?

There are no precision editing tools like the pencil that you are used to. There are also no included restoration plugins.

If the click and pops are at the beginning or end of a sample you can do a fade out or a fade in but otherwise you are fairly limited in getting rid of clicks and pops.

You either need to do that kind of editing in Sound Forge or buy some third party restoration plugins to use in the MPC software.

I removed them manually. In Soundforge, i clicked and dragged while zoomed in at max. This way i could remove the clicks.

Can you name me a good plug in that has the same result? I never worked with a plugin like that.

In sample edit, i tried to make a slice of the click, as small as possible, and afterwards i silenced it with edit.

+1 E.M.P

I use Multiple Logarithmic fade out to suppress noises at the end of my drumkits.

Logarithmic fade in for the first bits of the very beginning of the slices will works to.

Record the sample...assign it to a pad.

use a crackle/click removal plugin as an insert on that pad. adjust the settings while pressing/playing the pad.

Resample the pad to another pad.
