can easily install a CF card reader and easily transfer to comp.

the Korg D888 always looked interesting to me. It has 8 tracks and 3 band EQ right on the front. Also looks like it has a USB connection on the back for transferring your files.

I use the yamaha aw 2400. Before that I used a yamah aw16g. I recommend the 2400. Usb, automation w/ flying faders, and decent preamps and eq's/ effects. Worth taking a look at as a quality alternative to the rolands and korgs.

never really messed with the ones you guys mentioned.. but they look fun.

I can't recommend this one over any others since I haven't really had much experience with them, but it did seem pretty cool the small amount of time I had around one:

but from what I hear, you need particular caddies for the hard drives.. it was actually set up with a 40" display screen a few feet from the 8 bus mixer running into it.
