Korg or MPC

Im new to producing and need a little advice...

Should I get the Korg Triton Studio or the MPC4000 or MPC2000?

Does the Korg's sampling option sample like the MPC?

no the mpc sampler is not as advanced. The korg has sounds in it, so if you dont like to sample and prefer to compose get the korg. The sequencer in the MPC is almost worth 800 dollars tho and is hands donw the best one Ive seen.

If you will be sampling and sequencing midi Id get the MPC then get a korg, thats justa me. I dont really dig on the Korg sounds too much anyway. waaaaayy overused.

Get the MPC 4000 and you won't need a triton.
The Z8 engine that is included with the 4000 eliminated my triton rack.
I must say I hate synth sounds in hip hop.
If you really need those sounds and have a PC you can create them in numerous programs for a lot less money.

I have alot of plugins that are very synthy if I need that sound.

I've had the triton for a few months because a friend left it here while he went back to his hometown. I've always heard how great the drums were in the triton, so I decided to try them out for myself. Honestly, I'm not all that impressed with them, but that's my opinion. The orchestral stuff was good, and it had some nice guitars, strings and ish like that too. I ended up sampling the drumz and I use my motif for the other sounds. The triton can't phuck with the Motif when it comes to sounds. If you can get one cheap, then buy it. But as far as choosing either the MPC or triton, I would go for the MPC. Your not limited to the sounds that the MPC has, because it doesn't have any. You can sample any keyboard into the MPC. Your probably thinking that you can do the same with the triton.. sure you can, but when you need a certain kick/snare or whatever sound and the triton doesn't have it, are you going to dig through crates, or just settle for a sound that the triton has to offer? Your gonna settle for the sound in the triton.. trust me.. but that's what makes the MPC great. Unless your using pre-made drum kits, EVERY song you create can sound different. If your looking for something that won't trigger your imagination, get the triton, or any other machine that tries to make life easier, but always remember that easy music is easily duplicated.

Ok check this out young cuz! me myself if i was you i would get a mpc 2000 xl and keyboard look at the new motif es or the motif classic both boards are kickin the triton smack in the ass. If im not wrong the motif es will pretty much have all the gumbo as the mpc 4000 as far as ram sampling. im not saying it makes it better bu some goodies over there. If you have a computer you could learn to do music like i do thats why i dont need a mpc 4000 cause from the people who like the 4000 its pretty much for those who want to do it all in one system but if you have pro tools or cubase or nuendo(like myself) everything that you cant do in the mpc 2000 xl and could on the 4000 could be done with software audio reocord programs. i was once give the op to own a 4000 and i decline cause i never use more that one program on the xl and i hardly sample therefore i have aot of ram still so other than that all i can say i hate is the loading up programs or this or that but i have the 8 mb flash so im cool. if i make a beat with my mpc and motif 6 ill get everything right in one seq but i use as many tracks i need to get the beat right. no need to copy to seq two and to get it to sound like a sound. ones i get everything down in seq(hook,verse,change up) ill record each part into nuendo with midi clock. ill do that for about maybe 16 bars then ill start putting the song in order and add some mutes some fade ins and outs and real time automation....everything you could do with a 4000 but on a computer....before you know it i turn them 16 bars into 76 bars aka a full song. Kool sha show me this this way you save alot disk space. now if i need to change up the amount of bars verse one is for somerapper i go to my software program....i use the mpc as just a ruff draft note pad.
