HXC CF Card Reader On 3000 ??

I know this is covered on this forum before and sorry for posting this but Clint feel free to delete or link the topic. Can the HXC CF Card Reader fit and read the MPC 3000 as I am using OS 3.11 (E-Prom chip) also using OS version 3.16 (Pre-Vailixi) via floppy disk.

The HXC floppy emulator doesn't take CF cards.It uses SD cards.
You need a SCSI compact flash reader or reader/scsi bridge combo to use CF cards.
The HXC works with the 3000 but you probably wouldn't want to use it as you will only be able to save data in chunks of 1.44mb at floppy disk speeds.

In fact there is a possibility to use 4.5mb virtual floppy with the hxc (even more with some machines).
About the OS : the hxc is compatible with all of them.
But yes this true : The HxC Floppy Emulator is a floppy emulator, so the speed will be the same, and the usage is not the same as an hard drive type media.

I'd tell you to get a CF card reader, internal or external. Imagine trying to save the full MPC3000 32MB memory on floppies or virtual floppies. What a nightmare scenario! But your MPC3000 has SCSI so I cant see why you're even contemplating a floppy emulator. SCSI HD partitions of up to 30MB are the best choice whether you get a SCSI HD, CF card reader, or dare I say a Zip drive (last resort). Vailixi hybrid partitons can be up to 32MB or thereabouts.

If you had an MPC60 or a S950 without SCSI however, a floppy emulator would make a good option.

I see your point Clint and that is true about floppy disk as it is a b***h ! Will look into installing Internal CF Card Reader. Thanks for the tip guys !
