As of now all the pieces you mentioned are staying. Each has its place. I am still in search of a couple more pieces actually. Its not all for music making either. I have some interesting stuff coming down the pipeline. What's funny about the gear you listed is that I haven't really paid to much for any of it. Been flipping gear like mad. Today i sold an Evolver desktop to get the ASR-10. I got the Evolver from a kid for peanuts....... Way less than half a new one........ And today I walked away from the asr purchase with over $100 left from the sale of the Evolver. So ...... Good timing on my part as of late.

Yep that's why I got a MPC in the first place. So I would not need a dam computer. I'm sorry the REN, The Studio and the fly are controllers. If you need a computer or Ipad then it's a controller. I loved my 1000 but I'd never trade it for these new paperweights.

Couldn't agree more. I remember seeing the Ren at the local Guitar Center all lit up like the Vegas strip and thinking that it looked pretty slick. Then I started trying to mess with it and nothing.... Asked the sales person what the deal was and they informed me that it needed the software to be running...... Um..... what????? I don't see myself getting rid of my MPCs any time soon....... Ha
