Rebooting/restarting/turning off your mpc

I was just curious. Does anyone else just turn off their mpc to clear the RAM? I mean, I'm aware of the purge feature but I think it takes too long. I don't know how to properly handle that situation.

is there a proper way of loading up a new project while clearing the previous project?

Doesn't matter if you turn the machine off and on quickly, it's not like it's running windows on there.

If you really don't want to turn the machine on and off you can create an AUTOLOAD folder and just load that whenever you wanna reset the machine.

You'll have a tact switch on the face plate go waaaaay before you'll everr see the power button fail from overuse, so it's no big deal.
