Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I first want to say thank you Akai; I finally understand. They are teaching us a very valuable lesson....to always save as you go. After months and months of fighting it, I do save constantly now (as soon as I believe I have finalized a part). I have it ingrained in my workflow now...so now you can deliver the non-crashing update. Thank you guys.

F***************CK.
Just, simply, F*****************CK.

Was just working on an MPC 2500 song I imported.
It takes some work to get everything right if it's a JJOSXL-heavy song.
Jesus Christ, I was working on it for three hours, meticulously effing arranging everything, tuning the settings so that it matched the original...and just when I thought I'd go and hit the sack....it crashes.
And I realized I hadn't saved – once – since importing the song.

Jesus christ.
I feel like hitting some baby seals and all that sh*t right now.
Aaaaaaaargh.

If there was an autosave, I'd just make a cup of tea and stay calm but now....**** this shit.

You'd think the crash info is pretty important for the devs.

:WTF: :hmmm:

Annnnd this is why I will keep using my 2500 along with my REN, I have to have at least one piece of my equipment I can trust not to lose hours of work... :smoker:

That's what I been saying since day one, why didn't akai implement automatic online bug reporting feature knowing how unstable it is. Customer shouldn't be obligated to report it manually n write up extensive description of their system specs n how the crash occurred. Not everybody is tech savvy or going to want waste their time doing this. After software crash on project I been working on for hours I'd be more inclined introduce ren to baseball bat as opposed to writing up bug report paragraph :WTF:

THIS. Seriously, this sums it up. Exactly.
You're so frustrated you just want to curse the thing to hell instead of writing an extensive report with what happened, what kind of specs your computer has, what plug-ins you're using, can you regenerate the crash, etc etc...no effing way.

I think one reason why any software retains its bugs for a long time is this: it's human nature that we're lazy to write stuff like that. A crash report is also way more accurate than our words will.

I've been this issue for so long .It has even deleted my sequences many times .They expect you to keep reports of crashes .I paid $1300 for a controller and software so it should at least send back the reports shit it should even wash my car .

I saw that video which is nice they added it but they should still have crash alerts sent .Even when auto save is added I'm pretty sure there are gonna be some crash still happening.

 I HAVE A CONFESSION.........

Before the JJOS dropped for the 2500 the Akai OS constantly crashed. I endure the same things you all are enduring now except.... I beat the ISH out of my 2500 and walked away calmly. Regretfully I discovered that I knocked something loose inside. When you plugged the USB to the computer it wouldn't mount... never did, ever again, so I did what any forum member would do.....
