Disabling midi notes (instead of deleting)

Please bring this feature in.
It's much needed. For example, in Ableton Live, you just select the midi note and hit 0.
I don't have to explain why this is necessary; it's very rudimentary midi editing stuff.

This would good for sure, I do this a lot when composing in Cubase.

A couple of things that you could do for now.

1) If it's a drum program chances are that you don't have Drumsound's on the highest bank letters so you could just Transpose the notes really Highup temporarily by something like 24 semi tones. Then when you want them back you can just transpose them again by the same value and they will be on the correct pad.

2) For key groups you would have to record an actual mute for the track in order to keep the notes and not have them play

When I first saw pictures for the 1.3 update I thought that there was going to be a way to mute notes, Unfortunately not.

Why would you not explain why if you hope someone at Akai reads and implements this?

Often, when working on drum arrangements, for example, I create some drum patterns that are a little too complex for the section of the song I am on.
E.g., I work on an intro part and my drum part has a bit too much going on in it. Actually, I do this almost on purpose; I often start writing a loop of a song that's 16 bars long that's the "main theme" and has it all going on that'll be there when the song is at its busiest.
I can disable the "busyness notes", copy all the midi to the next section of the song, and activate the midi notes where it's appropriate. Applies to all kind of material, of course.
