I have some issues sometimes with looping drums.
Sometimes I will get a perfect loop record it into my sequence and it will work out perfect, I trigger the programmed loop at tick 1 bar 1, and it will end perfectly at tick 4 bar 1.

So for example, I got a wav looped up in trim, I program the wav to a pad, the metronome tick starts, I trigger a pad at tick 1 bar 1. It plays for 1,2,3,4 ends at tick 4 bar 1, than i'll do the same for 4bars and it will loop perfectly.

Here is my issue, it doesn't always work out like butter. I will have a loop and it will end a tick to short tick 3 bar 1 instead of tick 4 bar 1, or it will end at tick 1 bar 2 instead of tick 4 bar 1. How can I record a perfect loop as it sounds looped up in trim mode??

Sorry for my English hopefully someone can understand and help.

Hi,

First, when you leave the trim window after you have truncated your sample to loop perfectly, make sure it is set to "loop off".

Then, in program mode, amp tab, make sure the release (R) on the pad where is your sample is, is set to 0.

Now, in main menu, set your number of bars to be the same as your sample length, loop: on. Then record your loop and adjust the tempo so your sample doesn't glitch when looping.

Hope this helps.

There should be a ADSR somewhere in the OS, no ?

Look for the Release (R) function of a sample.

This is the only thing in the manual to do with "ADSR".

On that graphic, you can see that the release is set to approx 20, meaning there is a little fade out (the volume goes down at the end of the sample). Setting it to 0 will make the release part of the sample end vertically, meaning no fade out at all.

Thats located in the AMP Envelope. In the AMP envelope I see:

ATTACK
DECAY
Dcy md: END

Velo.Attack
Velo.start
Velo.level

ADSR is a real plus, trust me.

Nym (a forum member here) made nice videos on it, using OS2.

Personnally, like i said, i use JJosXL on my 2500. The equivalent for the 1000 is OS2XL. I def recommend it.

So I have to play around with the drum loop WAV in ADSR to fit it?

I already set the correct BPM, but it still won't fit correctly.

wow dude you just helped me I love you. I was fuking with the BPM i set it to 160 and it looped like it was in trim, but the actual wav is 92BPM, but it loops at 160BPM on my MPC. if I was to add another sound what bpm should I use? The BPM of the actual wav right? Why is it that the wav is 92BPM, but it loops at 160BPM? I don't understand is it going at 160BPM or 92??? :WTF: :WTF: :WTF: :WTF: :WTF: :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:
