Yamaha TX16W users

I searched here and saw that some people say it's more like the SP than a 950 which is the sound I prefer . I found one and the guy wants $75 and it's mint .

$75 for a mint, i think that's decent, i picked one up back in 07 for $100 and it had a bent rack ear. they say that the typhoon os makes it easier to navigate thru, also they editing is a pain. mines had the typhoon os and i still had a hard time getting it started, so i didn't get to hear what it sounded like. got frustrated and sold it, maybe i should have been more patient with it, after selling it picked up a s900 for $90 in mint cond. now that ish was easy to use off the bat and the sound was dope, very colorful and crisp and the low pass is noiceee...

Typhoon is a must on that thing. But Typhoon is really dope. Save samples with a lossless compression to save disk space, want to copy a sample? go to copy sample and hit enter as often as you like and the sample gets copied with an increasing number name. Sound is dope IMO. Filter isnt that great (easy to use) although there is a PC program you can create your own filter types.

But its just like with most other samplers: Create some empty preset programs so you just have to fill in the samples and don't have to run thru most basic program editing.
