Hello,
finally 4K´ed, i´m needing a Hand please.
i had some read on the manual, but is really hard on my laptop.

in Sample edit:
1. is there a way to navigate within a sample, ie setting sample start and end points, in a faster way than turning the dial a hundredthousand times ?
2. how can i set a sample to play mono ? ( disable multitriggering )
3. how can i stop a playing sample other than changing into another mode

recording mode, 24 bit recording:
4. up to which point on the "bargraph" should i go regarding rec level ?
( maybe compared to the word "margin" written under the graph )

1. Q5 and Q6 Active buttons bounce between sample start and end. Shift+Cursor left and right sets the start/end value between 1's, 100's, 1000's etc.

2. In the Pitch screen set your Poly to 1. If you want to set an entire Program select 'One' in the Edit 2 or Zone screen and change it to 'All'.

3. Press Stop 3 times in quick succession.

4. Aim to be nearly peaking. You can also auto normalize each sample.

1. i discovered Q5 + 6, but they change only a very small value, 0000,153 or so.
And i have to press the active button all the time.
"active" kept staying 1-2 times after pressing the button, usually i can´t get "active" to stay. I´m wondering if there´s something broke on my 4K ?
normal ?

2. is there a "all" command ? ...to set the cursor to all pads as in JJOS ?

3. guess i found the modulation matrix  .....program modulation
is there a way to control a parameter by midi, but for all pads simoultaneous ? Note field ALL setting ?

4. I have lots of hungups when loading samples from my CFcard from the MPC 1k,
abort isn´t working, I have to pull the Cardrerader. Normal ?

5. Just have had lots of hungups on saving now, saving inside the folder i created.
abort wasn´t working either.
saving the file NOT within the last hirarchi/folder was immediatedly working

sorry, much questions, help much appreciated.

1. Forget the Q-links in Trim. The Active buttons only work for selecting the Start/End parameter.

2. 'All' works the same as in JJOS, unless there was something super specific you were looking for?

3. Yes. Play around in the Q-link Setup screen and see what you can uncover.

4 and 5. Don't know mate.

Take the PDF to a print shop and get them to print it out and spiral-bind it for you. Best few $$$ you'll have ever spent. 8)

Program Edit - Last Page - Cursor down to "One" - Jog Wheel - All

Print out the manual.

You can also press F6 (P>ALL) and sent the start, end, and loop points while the sample plays... using the F keys. "GRAB" mode

or

Press the WINDOW key while on the start or end field and it gives you the option to automatically find the start or end point based on the threshold.

Thats another thing I love about the 4k. there's so many different methods to accomplish the same goal.

The Reference manual and addendums are what you need.

Printing it out was one of the first thing I did.
