Option to use software on my laptop without REN connected?

Jah, i'd like to grab and resize a loop locater bar whilst the sequence is playing, so I can fix a melody line on the fly without stopping the sequence or diving through menus.

Which software version are you using? I recall this working in early versions.

Unless I'm doing something wrong I can't see where you can select a loop point on the top bar/beat grid and make a temporary loop section within the 8 bar pattern?

Look again.....

Above the Sequencer Grid....you don't see the little red triangle? That represents the First Bar of the loop. You can click on it and drag it to Bar 2. Because the way it is implemented, it is easy to see how someone can think it doesn't work. Once you click on it and drag it...it won't move until your cursor is exactly on Bar 2, 3, 4, etc.

Look again.....

Between the red 'arrows' is a blue bar field. So if a sequence is set to loop bar 1, the blue field with extend from the start and end of bar 1. So if you want to loop bar 2, do you won't to be able to just drag this blue bar? Or do you mean something else?

Yeah,

I'd like to drag the blue bar or replace the 'red arrows' with a re-sizeable bar like Garageband/Logic etc
