Have you looked at the physical screens of the 1k and 500?

Look again and think about what you just asked.

Yeah the OS would still be the same so all you could do is display the normal LCD data larger. (The 1000/2500 ones utilize an adapted OS so JJ the developer can set it up how he pleases. But no one has that luxury regarding the 500's OS).

Basically all you would get is this -

No need to be an ass about it , that's the problem with you stuck up dudes on these forums you can't just strictly answer a question without being an **** .. I'm new to this and I didn't know if it would fit or not .

The XL screen looks clunky on the 1K... on the 500 it'd look ridiculous.

The screen on the 500 is a little small, a upgrade in size to something like the original 1000 screen would be nice.

im sure it may be possible.. but i dont think anyone ever has/would for kind of obvious reasons.. the os on the 500 kind of sucks. (i use the 500 btw). there would really be no point. and not to mention the cost of it, you might as well sell the 500 for a 1000 and if that doesnt help you, get a magnifying glass

i read your other post in the other 500 forum about you not knowing how to use it at all and man, the 500 (was my first mpc) and i thought mine was broken at first. i wanted to fukking kill the guy who sold me it. it took a while to learn and thats the best part about it, dont give up, and trust me, its easier and less complicated than you think

good luck

an xlcd the size of the 1000 screen... it would clip into the hole the OG 500 screen is in using a bracket... and finally a JJOS written for the 500. Is the cpu the same on the 500 as the 1000/2500?

now that would be dope.

Just cop a 2500 and get it over with. Aint nothing going on with the 500. Alright?! No, its not alright. The 500 came cheap so you expect a deal at every corner. Well sonny boy, welcome to the real world where the good shit don't come cheap. You gotta get your hands dirty and earn that bread. Save about a thousand dollars and then make a better choice in the future. Because walking around with a VCR duct taped to a walkman, don't make it an iPod.

Bam! Jaded lady's private parts style.

Ill Green always the last word on the 500.

And jade is green too...but he's listed as "Jaded Card" now? Avatar vanished. I thought "Jaded Lady's Private Part's" was the stock replacement text string on his handle... :hmmm:

No matter, his (my, I am JC... ) work here is done. Wouldn't mind if someone gets upset and just hands me a sick ass name like that again though...it was the best thing I was called since "Dusty Cracker" many years ago.
