mpc 2000 as a controller for my daw

I have an

Mpc 2000
presonus Audio box
Midi cables and stereo cables

My issue is

The mpc is not triggering my drums in the studio one (daw).
Everything is connected correctly. Can the mpc control anything in studio one?

you should set midi out on the mpc

also double check if the drum instrument on the Studio One MIDI track has a chromatic note layout or a GM Drum layout. The standard MPC note assignment often don't match drum software which often uses a chromatic layout starting at MIDi note # 36.
