All the features are really there. You just haven't made enough beats to unlock them.

While the REN/Mpc software is decent and you can make good beats with it, from another side i feel most updates were hyped and Akai didint unlock at all most of the necessary core features.
Hopefully 1.4...

Has been 2 weeks making beats within the REN and the 2500 jjosxl side by side and i still like more the 2500, from th sampling option, to sample editing, sequencer, sound, midi,etc... i feel the hw mpc environment more solid.
I have used the REnaissance from February 2013.

My 2 cent.

Hype or no hype...

I created a poll for forum members to vote for their most wanted features. 1.3 implemented most of the top requests....and 1.4 includes even more of those top requests.

6 months to 1 yr from now when there is a 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, etc., there will still be a hands full of guys here not completely satisfied until the Ren/Studio does taxes.

JAH wrote::Sigh: I find it hilarious to read folks worrying/obsessed about what 'we' choose to use. Obviously they are not happy with their current drum maschine/sampler....while Ren/Studio users have so many exciting things to look forward to....I am already looking beyond 1.4.

I don't think anyone is obsessed about what you use, thinking that way really says something about you.

What your ignorance blinds you from, is the fact that Akai probably needs to make the MPC Software what these non-owners want it to be, so that they buy it, so that there are $ for ongoing development, their opinions are just as valuable as yours.

does JAH do this to his ren cable? :hmmm:

No need to. My Ren and Studio is working pretty sweet with the Mac and software version I am using.

Any issues you are having with your Ren or Studio....let me know. I am confident I can help you out. And if I can't, I'll present your issue to someone that can. :smoker:
