umm you already can record Filter Automation.

The opnly thing which is not possible at the moment is to automate Effect Plugins

Actually, you are currently unable to automate the filters in a keygroup program. Plus there are a lot of other things you can't automate in the keygroup sampler... Like Everything! So yes we need fx plugin automation but we also need to be able to automate stuff in keygroups. This so slow going :/

jip indeed, essential things are still missing.
Keygroup automation + legato/portamento would be lovely

yeah its missing in my workflow either as I am used to sample everything
Even when I use 3rd Party Plugins I would love to transform Custom created patches into Keygroups.

it would be convenient if in plug in mode in my daw that you can drag and drop audio straight onto a pad to transfer the audio to the akai....

Didn't seem to be a bad idea with the 4000. Plus sampling in 24-bit is an option on the Ren and not mandatory as auto normalize would be an option.
