Hi, i'm glad it worked. Well if you had 3.16 installed like you said, i'm pretty sure that's why it wasn't working as you need 3.10 for the 2500.

jackitec wrote:Thanks Metatron72 and the other guys for your help and comments very much appreciated, :-D I manage to get a sort of manual for the free one and I have downloaded the manual for OSXL, the problem I have now is having played with the JJOSXL system I got to like it so I might buy it, but for now I will try to learn the free one.

No doubt I'll be on here a few times looking for help so see you all soon,

Jack

No worries, welcome aboard.

Hello all again, well, I have decided to reinstall JJOSXL again as I think it is far superior to the other OS's, I have spent a fortune on my MPC 2500 (as we all have) I have installed 128 ram and a 160gig hard drive so I might as well go the whole hog, I have downloaded 1000's of samples but I will pay for the OS when I have learned it, I am printing out the manual as we speak so it should keep me busy for a while

keep playin talk soon,
Jack.

You won't regret it when you do purchase, but you basically just told us that. :-D

I have pretty much the same 2500 with XL, although I think think the drive if formatted in the MPC comes out at 125GB, still plenty of space.

Even with save disabled you can still track out audio and MIDI to a PC/Mac. The manual next to the machine, the best way, speeds it up so much. Have fun Jack, I know you will.
