Give them a ring or email and explain what happened and ask for your authorisations to be reset.

It's worth keeping a copy of your MPC.settings file backed up somewhere - when you reinstall, simply replace the new settings file with the old one. It should work if your computer hasn't 'changed' (not entire sure what they use to check this though, would have assumed hardware config).

It seems odd that simply reinstalling the OS on the same computer would cause a problem, perhaps it's worth forwarding the details to Akai tech support to have the devs look at why this has happened.

the issue was i have both the Ren and the studio but i only used the disk that came with the Ren .2 computers 2 devices, you only get 4 authorizations .so when I re did my pc after upgrading my ssd akais system thought I had the Ren Software on 4 or more machine thus the lock down..not good! but im up and running again after a call to Akai.

You said you redid your ssds(plural) as in in both pc n Mac? If so then that would mean you already had two activations before the switch and you performed two more after installing ssds since you had to reinstall OS, which would account for 4 total, no :hmmm:

I use ableton n they allow for 4 activations before you have to contact them for more unlocks. There were couple instances(bug)when software would re-activate after major update, maybe something similar happened ?
