One other question for the unwritten moral code guys..

It is very obvious that Heltah Skeletah released"Lethal Brainz Blow" produced by Baby Paul i believe which sampled Johnny Pate The Look of Love...well the same exact sample was used by Show and AG for "you Know Now" by Buckwild. Both amazing classic tracks. Which producer broke the moral code? Surely, Heltah Skeltah knew the same sample was used a yr earlier by Buckwild.

So Heltah Skeltah essentially committed a major no-no in hip hop according to the self proclaimed purists huh?

I will also let you know another little secret which will surely anger some...most producers E-Dig! Yes, they committed a sin by not visiting the salvation army for 99 cent polka records. They actually sampled MP3s..

wait.. did he sample it off of buckwild's record? cause that is the topic here.

For what feels like the 100th time, THAT IS NOT THE SAME AS JACKIN' FINISHED PRODUCED HIP HOP DRUMS. :WTF:

You are actually proving the point you are rallying against.

ONE MORE TIME. USING THE SAME SAMPLES FROM THE SOURCE IS NOT THE SAME AS SHARKING A FINISHED MASTERED HIP HOP RECORDS.

Like purple and blue are related in the color spectrum but they aren't interchangeable.

My advice is to quit this while you're behind in the convo, way way behind...What you typing doesn't even make sense.

i.e, to paraphrase you, "People shared breaks and disks, that is the same or makes it OK to ride on the finished and expensively mastered work of others"

You're trying to prove an apple with a pear man...

I read you last post you're just dense yo. The same record being sampled is common. TWO PEOPLE INDEPENDENTLY DID THEY'RE WORK. EVEN IF THEY WAS BOYS AND SHARED A RECORD OR FLOPPY.

THEY DID NOT JUST SAMPLE EACH OTHERS HIP HOP FINISHED RELEASES.

Some of y'all are just hopelessly confused trying to defend disrespect and laziness.

That isn't my debate. Bottom line is it was sampled from an artist who actually composed the music and never authorized a beat-maker to use it (in many cases).

So you are fine with a guy like Reg just providing the same exact loop ATQ took from the original artist yet you are upset because Reg took the same open loop from ATQ? I just think its incredibly silly and the end result is the same. Which is you have the same drum hits!!

And since MF Doom does the same thing i hope you are all burning your Doom records.

I just think its silly but if that's your code by all means rock it.

Guitar players copied Hendrix and bought the same model and make guitar. But the final product was rocked each musicians own way. I believe hip hop beat making is the same.

Read this and you will see what really went down!

No. And that you'd pose question once again shows you just don't get it and can't comprehend the majority of post and info in this thread.

And sample mp3's all you want, if you don't care about sonic quality. Which I would assume this set does, otherwise what's the upside of say jacking Tribe Drums rather sampling the Jr. Mance yourself for example?

I mean outside of wanting to ride on Ali/Tips hook ups and Bob Power's brilliant engineering. You know those parts you supposed handle yourself as it's your production.

Guys absolutely shared their unprocessed drum kits and in some cases their tweaked kits and sold them out of the back of their rides!! Saw it with my own two eyes. so you can choose to believe me or choose not to. It doesn't matter to me.

and with all due respect im not reading 8 pages of threads just letting you know what i know. Heads shared kits, breaks, records all that back in certain producer circles. If you choose to believe a falsehood to keep your perception of beat making pure then do so. But that was and is the reality of many top beatmakers. Ok maybe they didnt have to get a drum hit off a Primo record because they could cop it off dude himself.

You quoted me and still miss the point that sharing kits or mining the same source is not the same as jacking finished hip hop records. You're ridiculous trying to re-iterate a point I didn't deny that actually supports what you're arguing against.

By all means though keeping clowning your own self up in here...

And that last link, Knucka, just stop OK. The link is about sharing breaks or mining the same records, NOT JACKING THE FINISHED PRODUCT. And yet again proves the very thing you arguing against.

Egon provides most material on DOOM's albums. Stuff Egon actually dugged with his bare **** hands. DOOM samples them because Egon is his boy and Egon has the rights so its free pickins for DOOM. I gotta talk retarded to you because thats how its coming from you.

DOOM doesn't sample Mp3s, you might hear a DOOM song on Mp3 but thats not the same.

EDIT - I see the great Golden Era edited his comment about DOOM.

Mega,

So sharing unprocessed kits is cool with you? Ok, that is your belief, others disagree. If Primo processed some drums through his MPC60 with his engineer and was selling em i would buy em cuz in my opinion he ripped em too. Tweaking em doesnt change anything for me my man. But lets agree to disagree. I am simply telling you sharing drums finished or not is nothing new!
By Golden_Era Fri May 31, 2013 10:01 pm
Doom absolutely jacked BDPs drum straight off that record. he admitted to doing so. I am not a huge fan nor do i know who Egon is.

and not sampling from mp3 rips of records to me is really really limiting yourself and your scope of samples but by all means stick with what makes you feel better.

1. Really tho...this cat is just like... :Sigh:

Again, what part of anything your saying has anything to do with just taking a stack of like 25 hip hop classics and just jacking legends.

I would hope if you are convinced that the whole games runs off direct CANNIBALIZING of produced hip hop classic (NOT SIMPLY HAVING USED THE SAME ORIGINAL SAMPLES, that happening is fine, common and does not prove your incorrect beliefs), that you can come with more evidence than one Doom 12".

For the love of god don't post yet another example of two people using the same sample. I've explained to high heaven how you are proving nothing and supporting what you arguing against.

@golden :WTF:

Your a f*ckin ideot bro

HS and Buckwild almost certainly USED THE SAME SOURCE MATERIAL they did not SAMPLE EACHOTHERS FINISHED BEATS whats mote no one is even saying not to use the same breaks or saying anything about e digging!? Except me saying positive sh*t about using mp3s...hell metatron just uploaded a link to folders of breaks and hits for anyone who wants it (incasr you difnt know files sent or received on a computer are digital so whos hating on that!?) Do you even read the previous posts or just put on the tunnel vision and talk sh*t

Theres this site called who sampled it they list the use of samples often attributed via liner notes check it.....

http://www.whosampled.com/sampled/Johnny%20Pate/

Theres at least 7 songs there that used the same og source they did not sample eachother i repeat DID NOT SAMPLE EACHOTHER what are you not understanding?...f*ck! You think all songs that share the same sample are just resampling from eachother?...cmon dude thats just dumb

Well said Shank.

I knew a cat who ran a shop, he cataloged all Funky Drummer usages, by 1992 the 3 ring binders had over 4,000 entries.

Who in their right mind would think that all the records were sampling each other over the obvious, "well 4000 producers had a copy of the most known break on earth."
