You have every right to express your dislike and at the end of the day, you do your thing and I do mine. If you notice my beat that I put up a couple of days ago, I used my own kit. Yet, you keep focusing on the other kits and I understand your pain. I really do.

I aint checkin for that beat its probly the same sh*t i heard before literally...one of your kits could really be one of havocs end products...its no biggie like i said you can live with that its cool and like you said i aint gotta like it so go ahead do "you"

I did its in my sig 'razor-glade' it was actually made using the original sources of mobb deeps shook ones part 2 for a battle here (oh the irony) :mrgreen:

I wondered why some of them would do that and then I figured that was it.
Pretty sure they all don't do that though. I'm sure there's good shit out there, it always is.

one hell of thread and i can understand peoples reaction. some may be a little over the top but if you know about rap that goes with territory.

the main problem is the title of the video (a tribe called quest beat kit)

just rename atcqbeats vs mc shan onyx mash-up

one thing it did remind me of is how much i could not stand onyx :lol: slam was about all i could handle. the record would never get more than 30 seconds play in a club before a fight broke-out :lol: (it was great production by jam master jay i think. just couldn't stand all the shouting. :lol:

may have been an idea to maybe show the rap records / cds artwork so that the youngsters see the covers of the records that are being jacked and it's give the rap artist a bit of shine.

it wasn't a bad video for people wanting to do mashup remix just not an accurate title of what is being represented.

i think if you are going to do a real tribe called quest kit you really have to do your
homework and show the records some respect and you will get respect back.

Guilty as charged :mrgreen: , but as you alluded to this is a broad subject looking at it long range and historically.

Don't forget Bobby Byrd in giving the Godfather the deserved nod. James could do a little piano to show the band what he wanted, but Bobby being trained acted as the prism for James ideas to a huge degree. Plus if JB didn't try to steal Bobby Byrd's father's hubcaps and get caught, they never would have taken JB into their their home and Brown's music career never happens.



This would be something to sample rather than the Eric B & Rakim record, and the other drums on the Rakim are Funkadelic. :lol: (Couldn't resist :mrgreen: )
