Hey all. I'm very new to this whole MPC thing. Here's my questions: what would be the best way to record on an MPC using a mic? I want to record acoustic guitar, electric guitar, vocals, and maybe some percussion here and there. I'm not really trying to make beats or anything like that at the moment, I'm really just trying to record some demos using real instruments and whatnot. I have experience with pro-tools and I'm pretty much trying to substitute that with the MPC. I really wanna make this as simple as possible so I'd rather record tracks straight through and just lay them on top of each other to make a song.
Anyway... how the hell do I this correctly without killing anything and whats the best way to do this? I hear that plugging the mic directly into the MPC is not a good idea... I'm not sure why. It seems to work nicely so someone please enlighten me. I'm also thinking I should mic the amp when recording guitar. Whatever... HELP!
Thanks!
