Update is worth every dime....Bought it, installed it (delicate but VERY easy) and it's running beautifully....

The hard burn option is a great idea (I asked for mine to default to a 4 bar loop setting at boot up......So there is no fiddling with setting bars before I start putting down ideas)

Shipping was fast as well, and Rohan's support and follow up is outstanding...If you're nervous about cracking open your machine, you get a plethora of step by step instructions with pictures!!

You'd be suprised how these new features increase your workflow...


Makes me wanna buy another 3000 and another set of rom chips just to have 2 of em'....I hope this is not the end of the road for updates, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this one.

So Rohan, I hate to bug you and I know you're busy, but I would love for you to update the FAQs on your website to cover the question I asked about what new SCSI devices will work with the 3000. I'm specifically interested in the PCD-40, since I already own one. I bought it to use with my ASR-X but it didn't work.

But more importantly, I'm still torn between the 3000 and the 2500 and maybe even the 4000, and the more info I get about OS 3.50 will help in that regard (and may give you another customer).

Help me out broham! If its not too much trouble...

A lot of the drives that didn't work with the MPC3000 failed because of an inability to process and deal with multi sector transfer requests from a host device.

The most challenging of storage devices to get working in this regard was a Spyrus ( MPL ) RD300D ( and it's relatives ).

Once the MPC3000 could communicate with the Spyrus ( MPL ) then all the other drives I had lying around came to life also.

Have had a bit of trouble getting the notes back together on this one.

Just got mine today, and all i can say is "Heaven Sent" Tighting Samples on da fly, my comp now see's all partitions on my zip drive.

Had a little muck about with the new swing settings and it seems pretty cool makes the machine more fly.

This OS brings a few nice touches you'll wonder how you ever lived without them, TRUST ME!!!.

Anyway big shout to Rohan, for the responsive emails, help and support.

i see you can edit samples with the mpc playing. great advancement. i was wondering if you can play the seq while in step edit?

Not sure what you mean by that.

Events can already be triggered within step edit via the respective PLAY softkey.

If you mean enter into a non-real-time step edit mode while the sequencer is running in real-time mode, and keep the sequencer running in real-time mode; then ...... no.
