I guess I wouldn't understand some of your pains or potential pains. I use very few instrument plugins as I primarily use hardware synths and workstations as well as using UAD effects which have very little to no impact on my computer's processor.

Now that a 64 bit app will be available, I can load several of Mach Five instruments....which I can run just fine without needing multicore support.

Jah man it is all about being portable and compact. Rite now as we speak I am ridding in a truck driving 6 hours. And I have abelton up and going. And I am banging out tracks. with just my laptop . And I get the same quality of sound as your hardware does.

Do you still have one of those brick cell phones in a carry bag? With a 27" T.V. that is 27" squared and weighs 150lbs. While playing 8 track cassettes. How bout a The satellite receivers that was the size of your house. Probably not.............

People want quicker, faster, smaller and functional. I am on the road at work all year round traveling from coast to coast. I dont want to drag around more than I have to.

"I don't care/doesn't affect my particular habits" is usually his final answer.

He's just a wanna be product rep with an anti social attitude who feels it's his calling in life to troll/steamroll any features request or valid observation that he doesn't care about/agree with/understand.

Basically all he's said here can be summed up as, "I don't want/need this common thing, so even if I'm the 1/10 minority Akai should still take that as "proof" the functionality is not important."

And the main goal is to show out for/defend Akai over all else, so objectivity is never going to enter the equation.

Well either way thanks Metatron. You made music exciting and fun again for me. Your a true wealth of knowledge. Haven't seen my son in a year, cause my job. And for 6 hours in the car we were messing around with a common interest.

For the love of music.

This is your typical response as most of your posts in the Ren/Studio forum are negative in nature. Do you actually own the Ren/Studio? This is a very valid question that I don't expect you to answer. Try actually using the product and kill the 'objectivity talk' as you are far from objective on any matter related to Akai and Numark.

"I know 1.4 is 64 bit but will it be multicore?" This questions has been answered numerous times with a resounding NO! The consensus for Ren/Studio users/nonusers alike is that they want an app that supports multicore processing. Native Instrument Maschine users want the same. Sorry bro...but this is a fact of life if you are using these products.

Since this is the reality (as I stated numerous times before)...I don't sit on my hands waiting for something to be implemented or make silly rants. I am using the products as currently designed...and help other users that are trying to do the same.

I am running a Mac Mini w/ i5 processor. It is far from the most powerful computer yet I can sill easily run over a dozen plugins without any issues using the Ren/Studio/Maschine as they are designed today. When I get in the 2 dozen plugin range, the issues I have is with running out of memory not processing power. 64 bit takes care of this.

When actual Ren/Studio/Maschine users want to run larger projects with more plugins....they move their projects over to DAWs such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Cubase, Logic, Digital Performer, etc. These apps support multicore processing.

Why wouldn't I answer that? I do not, and like others have posted in threads to find about the product. And what you perceive as negative is simply questions being raised about the product that factor into whether or not one might be inclined to buy it.

And it seems the majority of them would prefer not to have to do that, sorry if you take that or anything else that comes up personally because again you are incapable of objective dialogue.

If you actually wanted to 'find out about the product' you wouldn't go off on a tangent when I provide details on how to work-around perceived limitations of the Ren. This topic being one of them. I prefer to talk specifically about what the product can do.

Sorry if the thread, understandably, got into the benefits of multi core and it's overwhelming prevalence but there's a world beyond your blind brand loyalty and most people live in it.

This is as I've said just another case of you getting upset that not everyone thinks like you as evidenced by recent polls clocking in at 25:1, 25:5 etc.

"Perceived" limitations, there you go. Facetious quote marks used properly unlike your constant misused ones. Lack of multi core is not a perceived limitation it is an intrinsic one.

" I prefer to talk specifically about what the product can do. "

That's ironic in this thread, where your brilliant workarounds are -

1. I don't really use a lot plugins
2. I have UAD DSP so I don't care if Ren's single core operation limits plugins.
3. I have outboard sound generation capabilities, again I don't really care about plugins.

I wanted to find out if multi core was coming soon. People asked how multi core worked and what were the benefits, they (including you) got told facts. You told us about all the stuff you use that isn't plugins and that you use very few plugins.

You said you don't care about it, an Akai rep was quoted using the wrong terms to imply the software is already multi core when it not.

That about sums up the 7 pages. Only tangents and rants are you as always.

J Sandeen, an employee of Akai Professional, replied to 1.4 update, a question about Akai Professional.

Yes, sorry my bad. Im sure Multi-'core' support is being considered. I'm not sure 1.4 will include this though. Sorry if i confused you.

All my work-arounds are brilliant thus no rants about what the Ren can't do. I have always shared Ren tips...make my dislikes and preferences known...and continue to use the product. You are debating with an actual user of product that you don't own. :hmmm:

You mention brand loyalty which is the silliest thing that can be said in a forum dedicated to AKAI MPCs. You talk about me being upset....when anyone can read your rant/insults thrown at me when I mentioned a work around earlier in this thread.

The question about multicore was answered back on Page 1 by me and several others.

I never mentioned brand loyalty, I mentioned your blind allegiance to a brand.

You barely understood how multi core even operated and certainly did not understand it's operative application until I explained to you. But yes you did report it was a nay for 1.4. And your boy Sandeen got caught spinning a half truth he had to retract.

Again sorry if other posters wanted to know why multi core important and were told in straight forward terms.

In order for this to be a debate you'd have to have a point, which as so often is the case you don't. The thread is about multi core, the thread illustrated it's importance, operation and desirability, not to mention it's ubiquity. Clearly that all sent you into panic/protect Ren's image mode by any means necessary.

As my last post pointed out your solution to lack of multi core is to not use many plugins and use extra DSP and outboard gear. As another poster mentioned on something sold as a VST/AU host environment that's hardly optimum for those that don't have access to extra DSP and outboard sound generation.

Nothing about is you is brilliant, you prove that 7 nights weekly here simply by reaching for a keyboard.
