Hi,

I'm slowly (and painfully) transferring my MPC 1000 beats into the Ren.

One thing I'm having a lot of pain with, is the fact that Effects aren't the same at all between the two. I use a lot of Reverbs and Delays.

I can't - ever - recreate the Reverb sound from the 1000 on the Ren, but I can live with that.

What is frustrating me the most is the Delay... The "Time" parameter is very different between the two, but also - and mostly - there seems to be no "Mode Pan" and "Pan Width" in any of the "Delay Synch' Delays...

So... How is it possible to do a simple "Synched Delay" that pans with the Ren?

Thanks!

Chris.

Thanks!

But what I need the most is a "Mode Pan" and "Pan Width" in any of the "Delay" effects so my delays can pan from left to right on every echo...

In the Multitap delay plugin you can pan your delays left and right and choose the delay time for each tap so you may be able to get what you're looking for there along with the calculator.

can u describe what those two parameters Mode Pan" and "Pan Width do in a bit more detail, I am sure we could find a similar delay then. I don't have a 1k I came from 4k to ren so not sure what the 1k delay looks like.

On the 1K's Delay, when you activate the "Pan" mode, each echo pans from the left to the right. From the manual: "A Stereo panning delay that will pan the delays from left to right."

The "Pan Width" determines the width of the pan. From the manual: "You select the width of a stereo panning delay. The higher this value is, the wider the delay sound is."

I will try the Multi-Tap Delay. I tried the Ping Pong, and it didn't do what I wanted at all. Thanks!

Now, on top of that, I will need to synch the Delay. On the 1K's Delay, there is a simple "Sq synch: on/off" switch. On the Ren, you need to choose a specific Synch Delay, I guess...

Really?

Hardware MPCs have arguably the worst FXs of any serious hardware sampling workstations. Now with VST FX and instrument support, you have numerous options available.

Edit - Unless you meant you keep your hardware MPC in the event that your projects don't translate well on the Ren. The OPs issue would still apply going from one hardware MPC model to another hardware MPC as Effects and Programs params across different MPCs are not the same.

I might be able to make u a vst if u r on osx,

So let me get this straight its a single delay with basically an autopanner on the delay output but the dry signal remains untouched.

Could someone put up a screen grab of the parameters and I will have a crack, not promising anything yet, but if its easy I will do it.
