FOOBAR is a great winamp alternative, as well. it's got excellent plugins (for tagging, library browsing, etc). unfortunately all my music is on google now, and google's phone player kind of sucks....plus they keep changing it every other week so i can never remember how to navigate.

truth is, practically all the music i listen to is off records while digging, and it's been that way for the last several years.

one [of numerous] things i don't like about iTunes is the fact that if i wanna listen to a CD [as a CD in actual CD quality], iTunes feels the need to convert/compress it and import/copy it to the iTunes library... making it difficult for me to hear it at ACTUAL CD QUALITY and without filling up my hard drive when i just wanted to listen once. yes, these things can be configured, but it's still an automated pain in the dick.

i've been using WINAMP since 1997 when MP3s were just surfacing... and i see no need to switch it up now.
