Mpc Ren and Logic pro questiion

Hello once again,

I have my mpc R hooked up to logic, mapped the transport controls and when i record i get all the midi info into the mpc plugin.
Is there a way like with the NI maschine to drag the midi from the Ren to logic, or any other way (except bouncing the tracks in the software and then load them up in logic tracks) to do this?

I have hooked the mpc to logic. open the plugin, made some tracks on the plugin and now i want to transfer those tracks to logic..any idea how? cant figure that out!

Obviously it's not possible.

All the Tracks in the Ren/Studio software are basically MIDI Tracks. You can:
1. Export Tracks as multiple audio tracks to import into Logic
2. Export as stereo mix audio file to import into Logic
3. Export as a MIDI sequence to import into Logic
4. *Use Logic's Bounce or Bounce In Place to render your Ren/Studio tracks as audio within Logic

#4 may be what you are looking for. There has been a bug reported with an aspect of this function which was reported to Akai...and may be addressed with the next update.

With option #4 above you can:
1. Open Logic

2. Insert the MPC AU plugin on Track 1

3. Load a 8 track project in the MPC AU plugin

4. Right Click Logic's Track 1 and select 'Create Empty MIDI Region'; adjust region to length of MPC project

5. Press F5 [Solo] to Solo MPC Track 1

6. Right Click Logic Track 1 and select 'Bounce In Place' to create New Track

7. Press F4 [Track+] to move to MPC Track 2

8. Right Click Logic Track 1 and select 'Bounce In Place' to create New Track

9. Repeat Steps #7 and #8 until all MPCs Tracks are rendered as Logic Audio tracks.

And of course...you can just export all your MPC Tracks as Audio files then import into Logic.

Notice that when the plugin is loaded inside of logic, the option ton export as audio file is disabled, its only possible as stand alone version, otherwise everything would be easy!

This is true. A feature request has been submitted to allow the Export option when used as a plugin.

You can also save your MPC project then close the plugin inside of Logic...then reopen in standalone mode to export as a work around.

JAH, in #3 above will this trigger REN sounds as they were originally played or only a MIDI sequence to be played back by Logic instruments? If the latter, can a request be submitted to allow true REN MIDI implementation into Logic, ie... a MIDI sequence played back by Logic created with and using REN sounds?

No. The Ren isn't currently designed to function as a multitimbral sound module. This feature request has been submitted.
