Can we all just get along ???? Pretty please and V.M Software that's good you made OS software for MPC 60 but do remember people want to see it in action on video before deciding if they want Elxir V4.01a or not but also will it be stable as well but nice you put the pics of it. Have to agree with Clint he is just helping you out yeah he maybe sarcastic at times but in the long run he is basically helping and you should appreciate his courtesy. I hope you make the OS for the 3000 in the future as I am user of the machine since Valixi 3.50 OS is no longer in production and if you do we be dope ! cause I'm running on OS 3.11 (E-Prom Chips) w/ Pre-Valixi 3.16 OS (Floppy Disk).

So um......can just still get along ???? Please :smoker:

knowing if a version will run on the mpc3000 is gonna do you what good when we dont even know what it can do for the mpc60 yet...

let's hope the guy gives us a feature list some time soon...

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick and not getting what your saying., but the MPC60 already does 1/384 with timing correct off. That's not a new feature.
If I choose 1/128 or 1/192 isn't that still some form of timing correct ?

How so ?
I don't understand your analogy as I use other sequencers that can play back sequences/patterns while they are being edited .

also, where would these EPROMs be shipping from upon purchase?

I can't tell, I don't know the Viamana features. Do you have it?

If you have it , 90% of your "EPROM" content is the original 3.10 software code same thing for 3.50 (90% is the original 3.11 software code).

Intellectual property are not words (that peoples who really knows what they talk about) can use when speaking about OS that contains 90% of the original code.

So I don't know what you mean by "Exclusive".

Imagine Samsung taking 90% of the Apple IOS and .... :?:

1/384 means Time correct off : steps are 001.00.00 / 001.00.01 / 001.00.02 ...

1/192 means steps are : 001.00.00 / 001.00.02 / 001.00.04 ...

1/128 means steps are : 001.00.00 / 001.00.03 / 001.00.09 ...

It's not possible to edit a sequence/pattern while the sequencer play back.

He said "elusive" , not "Exclusive".
Those are 2 completely different things.

So, is Elixir 90% Roger Linns code which you have added some features to ?
Is that why there is no Elixir V1,v2 or v3 ?

Thanks for the explanation., although it still seems like timing correct to me.

1/384 = Time Correct OFF

Yes I know but your original post says that's a a new feature, which it isn't.

You have also stated
W.M.SoftWare wrote:When you turn the Time correct off , you can choose 1/128 , 1/192

and then went on to explain how it corrects timing.
That sounds to me like new timing correct settings and not "time correct off"

For example- If I select 1/128 and enter a note that would normaly fall on 001.00.01 , won't this be corrected to fit the 1/128th grid and fall on either step 001.00.03 or step 001.00.00 ?

Is it possible to set the "grid" to 1/128 or 1/192 and then have timing corrections of quarter notes ,etc based on that instead of 1/384 ?

oh.

so youre familiar with the Vaiamana! :-D

i would think you would know more details than i since youve heard of it and seem to have more technical insight than i do...

ive just heard of it. i dont know the specifics. of vaimana or Elixir... :hmmm:

are you saying that Elixir is 90% old code and 10% new also like the other OS versions you mentioned? :?

can you elaborate on what you DO know? :)

Oh,

I'm not familiar with Vaiamana !

Regarding Valixi is based on "more than" a lot of the 3.11 code.
This is an evidence that the Vaiamana is following the same paternity.

I DOn't know what is the finality of all these questions. When you buy new Apple OSX, it's based a lot on the precedent version and this is not the type of question you ask to yourself.

Same thing when you upgrade to new IOS that is based on precedent IOS that himself is based on OSX

So, you know what? I'm trying to give the more simple explanation as possible.

All upgrade software is based on something precedent , it's valable for all softwares (except for a brand new application that doesn't exit).

:-D

yes. of course. :-D

ok. enough of vaimana and vailixi for now...

let us know the details of what you are offering us. from where? :hmmm:

ive never heard of WM Softwares.

i was interested in the elusive and mysterious vaimana for my 60. maybe the Elixir is a better and more available route to go with my 60s OS.

i would like to know more. as would most here...

thanks for the direct responses. :smoker:
