Is there a way to recover the JJ SN?

Hello,
I bought my MPC very specifically with JJ 2XL already installed because I wasn't familiar with 1000's or the process of installing 3rd party OS's on them.

But now I'm just mildly skitish about installing anything other then 2XL updates in case something goes wrong and gets corrupted and lost.

I know its supposed to be saved,
but what if something goes wrong.

Can JJ send this to me from my 1000 SN?

Or can it be displayed via a function on my machine?

I don't know if you can view it after it's unlocked and if you wanted JJ to tell you would probably have to be the original purchaser with the payment details.

I've not really ever seen anyone with an issue where they would need to re-input that I can recall.

I switch between the OS's all the time, I use XL but if a friend asks a question about one of the others I just flash that one and look. Then I go back to XL. With all those times and the fact he updates so frequently I've changed OS's hundreds of times on both 1000 and 2500, no problems ever.

You wont need it unless you replace a major PCB board. You should be able to swap os's without it erasing the SN.

Just make sure it's unlocked, because you can install the without paying to have it unlocked.

I figure It's probably alright.

I reinstalled each OS up to os3 a sec ago,
and I seem to be good.

Just a theoretical situation,
and apparently an unlikely one.

And honestly,
if the lord asked me to pay twice,
I would pay twice.

I've got other things to spend money on,
but me and the lord have never regretted spending money on JJos.
