Akai mpc-1000 – how to pitch the sample from midi-in?

I have a Akai Mpc-1000 with JJOSXL2 and I decided to get deeper into the midi options. I loaded a bass sample into "pad 1". but how do I make the sample pitch controlled by the midi notes which I’m sending from the midi keyboard?

Load a new instrument program and assign it to your sample. Then make shure your midikeyboard is connected to your mpc and that it sends the same midi channel as your track (with the instrumentprogram) recieves. And play your keyb
