Hey, my MPC 1000's been fine for a good few years. I only use it once in a blue moon.

I installed the JJ OS a month or so ago and had been getting on fine.

All of a sudden, when I'm recording (By pressing record and play/start at the same time), not all of my notes are being recorded when I hit the pads.

Only some are. It's like a setting's somehow been set not to take in my faster notes/pad hits.

Any ideas? Sound like the hardware's broken?

Thanks.

it could be a hardware problem, but you should first check:

1. quantization settings.
try turning it off completely.
in the MAIN screen, hold down the TAP TEMPO button. whatever quantization setting is highlighted, press it again to turn it off.

2. pad sensitivity settings.
goto MODE + PAD 10 (OTHER) & hit F4 (PAD).
try adjusting your settings there and see if that helps.
especially check the 'Pad On Level' setting.

You got a silver back?

The 1000 is a blessing for being a JJ os MPC,
but its also a curse for a hardware flawed transition between the Akai MPC's and the Nukai MPC.

Almost every MPC is a winner,
but none of the MPC's are clear winners.

(not without a little bit of effort.)

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your help. Much appreciated.

I think fiddling with the tap tempo button helped.

I didn't know that a previous session's settings would remain after powering off and rebooting the box.

Thanks again.
