I've thought of this, too.
Of course it's not certain he'd even work for Akai, but in theory, why not hire, when the software is being written, the absolute dopest cats in the game – those who have a very solid knowledge of how things should work...those who would say, "The MPC definitely needs this and that feature" because they have all the know-how that's needed. The Ren software has been lacking so many essential features that wouldn't have been possible if some knowledgeable heads have been in the team to say what's really needed.
