what are you connecting to what? there are a few ways you can go about this: unbalance via special cables (you can make your own), transformer isolation, etc. but in the end it might work just fine without needing to do anything.

Get an ordinary jack-to-jack lead and plug it in. Listen to it with your ears. If it sounds fine, it is fine.
