No..... that is a Centronics 50 pin jack. You need the one that is called an HD50, MD50 or Half-Pitch.

Look at this page on scsiforsamplers.com

Both are wrong. The MPC2kxl/2k side is 50pin scsi2. I don't know what type of connection your external zip side is, you have to look at it and see what's going on.

If you are in the US, I'd get the your cable from http://www.scsiforsamplers.com. They know what the right cable is because they know what an MPC is. But I think the Belkin cable on your second link is right as long as your zip has the 25 pin connector.

Lampdog The MPC2kxl/2k side is 50pin scsi2

My 2000 has a DB-25 connector, the same as on the zip drive. I thought this was standard for the 2000 & 50 pin scsi2 was only on the xl?!

A yo FB, in SW's original post his subject read:

"I need to know what cable do I get to hook up an external zip drive to the MPC 2000xl? I know its 25pin male to 50pin male. Is this the right one?"

"MPC2000XL to SCSI cable" that's why I said 2kxl connector is 50pin scsi 2. 8)
