Is there a synopsis of this thread, or is it all about sales?

I am just trying to give others a good deal because I learned so much to improve my MPC experiences through this forum and figured there is a demand.

what firmware was your card when you picked it up? i wouldn't be able to update the firmware and have a chance to get a 3.45. is that gonna work on a 60?

Not sure what was on there, but 3.45 rings a bell. Then again, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work for you - it just seemed to take a few attempts for me.

long story short - hulk has spent days trying to sort my 15 Acards out - and the flash ram chips are ALL ****, some got closer to working than others, BUT none of them did actually work.

jhulk is a massively skilled tech, he tried EVERYTHING, then we used special kit to try to re-flash the chip direct rather than via SCSI (as that doesn't work), and they are screwed big time...


next thing we are going to try is to replace the WHOLE flash ram chip in each of the 15 cards, that should work but its not going to happen overnight, chips have been ordered from USA.

will let you know how it progresses.

Sorry to the moderators for posting on the forum but I wanted to make it clear where I stand on the public forum.

I, in good faith, tried to sell some acards that I acquired through a personal estate sale and resell them locally and on this forum at a substantial discount. I did not test them because they were all NEW OLD STOCK. Some were opened just to verify this.

I asked everyone to post their response or findings whether dealing with me or not. Everyone was happy with their purchase. SEED78 however had an issue.

I was asked by SEED78 to stop selling, which I complied because he said there was a problem with his cards I asked him to send them back at his expense and I would send replacements. That was weeks ago. I resumed selling after he said he was working on a solution. One of the people I asked if they were still interested responded that they were already dealing with SEED78 so was no longer wanting to buy a card from me.

I already had a few prior red flags but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Today SEED78 contacted me about replacements. I said I had 5 to send to him. I have been documenting my quantities on the forum.

Due to a dispute with SEED78, no more cards are available. He will get the remaining 5 that I have allotted for him. I will not issue any refunds due to the nature of electronics. If SEED78 does not want the 5 cards, due to customs fees or whatever reason, I will donate to MPC-FORUMS for distribution.

I cannot recommend another source but for those I have dealt with, thank you for your business.

I can only recommend going directly through Acard to avoid any headaches.

As for the moderators on this forum, please feel free to check my personal messages if you have the capability, regarding my transactions. If you need more information, feel free inbox me if you have any questions.

I DID recently sell a IOData bridge to a guy in france if thats what he is referring too? I am also sending a Acard UW bridge to a guy in the Netherlands, again that was not one of ASICHOPS 'U' Acards, because they are not working with ANY samplers.

at my own expense I've tried to find a solution that didn't involve asking for a refund - yet ASICHOP is only 'comfortable with sending 5 replacements to me?? how is only sending me half a good solution that I shoudl be happy with.

@ASICHOP - I'll still willing to send all 15 back to you if thats what you want, its just annoying that its all at my expense. it might actualyl cost me less to throw them all in the bin rather than have replacements sent after I factor in customs and return postage.

I've done my best to update you - and yeah I was looking into a solution, but I was always clear that they were in a very bad state, and you only chose to hold back 5 - although you admitted via PM to having more in a 'personal' stash...

@SEED78 I just received feedback that there is another recipient of my cards and there are no problems with the card they bought from me.

I also received an email from the person you were dealing with stating that they bought something other than acards from you which is fine I am happy you are also doing something to help out the MPC community. I recommended that he purchase the acards from you anyway since they were in Europe and already dealing with you.

Furthermore, The reason why I sent 15 when you only paid for 10 is because of the high postage to Europe (which is why I later chose to sell to the US or in person as I stated in the thread). That way if you had any problems, then you could use the spare 5 without me having to ship again at a loss.

Also you asked me to keep your name hidden from the forum membership as the buyer. Why all the secrecy? Of course I commend you for eventually coming out and contributing to my thread.

The reason why I want you to send each of the cards is to have someone test them out and verify your claims. Instead, I said keep them all because jhulk possibly had a solution. The solution would have been beneficial to all if he were able to post it on this thread.

In regards on how I sell the cards, I just grab them and ship untested. To open a box and test would qualify them as being used and I have been selling them as NEW OLD STOCK. Apparently no other member has had issues. "Dave Mars" was the only other "claim" and even he did not step in to chime in. Who is "Dave Mars" and why is his order still "processing" on my end. I don't know but his replacement was sent out.

My "personal stash" is just that..."personal" in which I can choose to do whatever I want to do with.

I have been transparent about my business dealings on this forum, even allowing the mods check the emails in my inbox while you initiated your business dealings with secrecy by instructing me to keep quiet about your purchase.

I believe that there is a possiblity that your cards may have been damaged by "user error" but since I cannot prove that, I offered replacements which are still available to you.

If they were damaged during shipping, why don't you make a claim against DHL? I use a shipper or insure my shipments in case of "accidents".

In conclusion, you will get your 5 cards as I have stated to be shipped out on July 5 via a shipping method other than DHL.

I am done with these acards that I "luckily" stumbled into buying and reselling. While I am happy to help the rest of the MPC community and thankful for the response that the acards attracted, one person's actions have left me reluctant to do business online anymore.

I will post the tracking number on here on Friday, July 5 for the 5 replacement cards. If you do not want them, for whatever reason, let me know within 48 hours on the public forum and I will gladly save them for MPC-Tutor to donate, raffle, or do as he wishes.

I think I have addressed every argument on here. If my feedback suffers from this difference of opinion, then I accept that fact. I will not be selling here again.

seriously - stop the life story posts and JUST ask the guy you are speaking with what type of bridge I sent him - its VERY obviously NOT one of your 'U' Bridges, not if I sold him over the time period since your Acards arrive.

this alone is going to tell you if I'm a honest person, simple to the point and doesn't involve mud slinging. I've only got annoyed with you other this 5 card thing - I've never gone nuts over loosing the cash, or having to invest money is finding a solution, OR laying blame, even though others would.

you've not addressed why you thing 5 cards is a good replacement for 10? esp now that I've actually offered to send the 15 back, if you are willing to cover my postage etc.

you already stopped shipping to Europe because of some 'other' customer that gave you problems with paypal (guy was more clever than me clearly as I placed my trust in you and paid via Skrill) , so don't present me as a person who was spoilt stuff for people here - I've helped a load of people with the CF drives, even when zero profit was involved, I have nothing to hide... where as your posts are largely just on a thread regarding putting money in your pocket so WTF are you talking about?

any reason why you couldn't resolve this on PM or email with me - why did you have to dive in and post bad ish about me? I've gone out of my way to NOT blame you on this thread,

If you are so honest - give 10 or 15 to the MPC community - don't bother sending me any, give one of the mods 15 cards and I'll never reply to this thread again... thanks to this forum I bought a MPC3000 and am very happy with it, give them some Acards and I'll take my several hundred pounds lose on the chin if you do that.
