So let me get this straight its a single delay with basically an autopanner on the delay output but the dry signal remains untouched.

Could someone put up a screen grab of the parameters and I will have a crack, not promising anything yet, but if its easy I will do it.

Here is the screenshot (I'm on OSX indeed!):

Really?

Hardware MPCs have arguably the worst FXs of any serious hardware sampling workstations. Now with VST FX and instrument support, you have numerous options available.

Edit - Unless you meant you keep your hardware MPC in the event that your projects don't translate well on the Ren. The OPs issue would still apply going from one hardware MPC model to another hardware MPC as Effects and Programs params across different MPCs are not the same.

Yes! I kept my 2000XL because projects don't translate well in the 2500. Kept my 2500 because projects don't translate well in Ren. And I wasn't just talking about effects, as the OP is, but program parameters as well.

As far as going from one hardware MPC to another, well that depends on which one you're going to. For example, going from a 2000 to a 2000XL or back, just about everything translate 100% the same. Same with a 1000 to a 2500, or back!

The 2000 and 2000XL shares pretty much the same operating system. The same goes for the 1000 and 2500. While we are at it.....the MPC 60 and 3000 also has pretty much the same operating system (as the MPC 60 can be upgraded to have the same OS).

The Ren is a completely new product. It doesn't have all the params of older MPCs....for example., the envelopes and filters are different. So obviously this can result in projects not loading exactly the same. This is compounded by the fact that all legacy MPC file types are not currently supported by the Ren/Studio MPC software.

But...if you load a legacy MPC project in the Ren/Studio software...similar params should translate well. If not...then this should be brought to Akai's attention..which is the reason why I asked "which program params of legacy MPCs don't translate well in the Ren?" Anything I have found...I have already reported.....

Aight.

To anyone that switched from the MPC 1000 to the Renaissance and want to reproduce the 1000's Delay (with the settings below) on the Renaissance, there you go:

MPC 1000 Delay with these settings:

Time: 00.24
Feedback: 55
HF Damp: 80
Level: 70
SQ Synch: ON
Mode: Pan
Width: 99
Pan: MID

Equals =

MPC Renaissance Delay Ping Pong with these settings:

WetDry: 20
Time L: 340
Time R: 180
Feedbk: 70
Damping: 80

Peace.
