MPC Renaissance stand suggestions for playing live.

Hi,

Sorry for repeating this here, but I don't get satisfactory answers at the other places.

01_ As mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=164585 , the On-Stage Mix400 ( http://www.proaudiostar.com/on-stage-mi ... stand.html ) and the QuikLok QL-400 ( http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1 ... Stand.html ) seem good for playing the MPC Renaissance standing live.

02_ To the people that have one of those, which one do you recommend?

03_ Because I want this to play my MPC Renaissance live, I wonder: is it stable enough? Does it wobble?

04_ The QuikLok spec sheet says: "[...] adjusts (vertically) from 14.5" to 21" [...]" This isn't high enough. Am I reading the specs wrong? I need at least 36" high. Anything else you recommend?

05_ I was thinking of buying a keyboard stand and a piece of plywood to put on top so the Renaissance AND the laptop could be side by side. But then I would also need something to raise the Renaissance a lot! What would you recommend for that?

I've touched both. I have a Mix400. More sturdy solid feel. Cylindrical so you can rotate left - right while wheels are locked. You can also lock that left right movement. It can be raised to a pretty good height as well.

I and many others here have a keyboard stand with keyboard on bottom and mpc on top, I dont have a board under my mpc, my QuikLok QL-642 X-Style Double Brace Two-Tier Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand can handle my 4k just fine.

The top arms can be loosened and brought inwards in order to hold smaller machines (mpc 4000 smaller dimensions) then locked. Smaller than that, you might need a board there though.

Seems perfect for the Renaissance! I could put the Ren on top, and my laptop on the bottom (if I have some kind of board, though...)

Yep, that's my dual keyboard stand. Love it to death, very sturdy too.

I don't know the max height, I never measured. Maybe it will say on the websites.

Looks like this was answered, but I will throw in my vote for the MIX-400 Stand! I have used for many mobile performances with the MPC5K, and it fits perfectly for live application. On it's smallest settings for width and depth, it also just fits the MPC1K. I assume the dimensions for the Ren are similar to the 5K, so you should be good :)

I'll third or fourth the recommends. The mixer joint with the adjusting holds all kinds of stuff I have, and I've got the 3 tier version of the keyboard rack here. Both are very nice and priced reasonably.
