Before others end up like beached whales. Be advised,
there are no 64-bit AAX versions of UAD-2 plug-ins currently. I have no idea why someone would even make such a reference unless they are simply ill-informed or speaking in future-tense, which is misleading. UA and many other developers are still working on their respective releases—many of which with no definite release schedule. They will come sooner or later. However, anyone moving to Pro Tools 11 right now should actually do the research to make sure that their plug-ins are compatible and have
actually been released, in addition to making sure that they are aware of the license related iLok issues plaguing many other Pro Tools users. You will still likely have to use your current version of Pro Tools to get any real work done in the interim. That is, unless you just want to "collect" stuff.
I'm not trying to deter others from getting Pro Tools 11, as is obvious by my related posts elsewhere, but more just washing the area to disinfect it from the usual sources of misinformation that have caused a bit of disappointment for some in the past.

As a student, the OP has no excuse
not to grab a copy of 11! Enjoy. The update is long overdue.
