how do you guys use the MPC as Plugin in a DAW?

How is you workflow? Do you manage to run a Sequencer in a sequencer?!

@Jah: How do you deal with UAD Plugin Latency in the MPC Software ?
As far as I know does the MPC NOT have Plugin Latency compensation?

Primarily, I am using EQs, Filters, Tape Effects, Neve emulations, etc. I have yet to run into any latency issues.

I created threads and even posted videos on how I use the Ren within a DAW. My signature has a link to You Tube videos.

So you essentially just use the MPC-R as MIDI Controller for the DAW ?

I wanted it to end at the Big Lebowski image, hence why it was so dismissive. :lol:

In reality, I never stopped discussing the topic though, MPC-Tutor. You're right though, **** this shit. At any rate. There are not currently any 64-bit UAD-2 AAX plug-ins. Do the research yourselves. That is really the point here.

The post that caused a sh!t storm. :?
JAH wrote:The Ren, from my limited experience, works much better with Pro Tools especially when it comes to routing MIDI. I do own the current version of Logic as well as Pro Tools 10. I am upgrading to Pro Tools 11 immediately! 64 Bit Pro Tools, 64 Bit MPC software, and 64 bit UAD plugins....now all I need is the new Mac Pro! :nod:

'Bout to start this $299 download (guess I won't be buying the new Jordan Son of Mars being released in a few hours. :lol: ).

There has been discussions across forums for at least a year about Pro Tools not being 64 Bit...the Ren not being 64 bit....as well as UAD plugins not being 64 bit. Now Akai, Avid, and UA has (or will) updated their software to address users needs. The jubilant discussion rejoicing that we finally have 64 bit in all these products turned into accusations that folks were being misled.

No one claimed UAD released AAX version of their plugins. No one claimed Akai released an AAX version of the MPC software. No one claimed all 3 products can be used in tandem with each other.

And when it seemed members were more interested in taking unnecessary cheap shots in what should have been a non-controversial thread....I clarified what I meant to no avail.

MPC Ren = 64 bit
Logic Pro = 64 bit
Pro Tools 11 = 64 bit
AAX Plugins = 64 bit (soon)
1.4 = Imminent :mrgreen:
