I'm sorry if this has been asked many times before. I've researched and researched and not one response seems to be giving me any clarity on the problem.

I want to start tracking out my beats from my MPC 500 to Logic Pro 9 using an M-Audio Fast Track Pro. First can someone please tell me what cords I will need in order for me to accomplish this. After my research people have said it's better to just have the MPC as the slave to Logic. So what cords will I need to be able to do this?

I just want to be able to track out kicks and snares and the sample sequences into Logic so I can mix them.

I'd appreciate some help! Thanks!

Your main concern here is getting the correct cables to connect the audio outputs of your MPC500 to the audio inputs of the audio interface, don't get confused with sync at this stage. Also, does the audio interface have any midi ports? Maybe post a pic or a link to the specs, I'm not familiar with it.
