Don't try to loop it then. Record in single passes, stop, start from the beginning. Repeat.

I don't see why you need to loop these pieces in sync. It's so easy to just loop one or the other to achieve what needs to be done. Do you use midi clock or midi timecode for sync?

Clint,

Im using midi clock.

I figured thats what I would have to do. I really want to use the note repeat button on
the MPC, thats the only reason. Id like to try out a few ideas while Logic is looping and then record.

I didnt want to have to extend out the beat to practice. Just trying to use as few steps as possible.

Guess i am too stuck on the MPC's workflow and need to get accustomed to Logic's.

Maybe there is a way to have both looping perfectly, but I don't know it. Perhaps Midi Timecode may be more appropriate if trying to loop, as it is based on absolute time, rather that beats/bars which is less accurate in some ways.
