I need instructions on how to achieve a similiar sound to this bass sound on Microkorg;

Don't know about the microkorg but this is what I hear (a coarse description):

* sawtooth wave

* LoPass Filter: something like 50% open

* A little bit resonance

* An slow LFO controlling the Cutoff frequency (free run mode , no retrigger)

*probably a key -> filterfreq follow so that higher notes equals a slightly more open filter.

After listening again and using minimouge VST I think I was a bit wrong.

* filtercutoff is relative closed

* filterenvelope also controls filterfreq (small amount of attack, decay at 12 o'clock, sustain at 8o'clock)

* LFO not that slow.

I have no Microkorg, but I know they are capable of enough decent virtual analogue to get that tone.

It's a Moog Legato monosynth type sound. Considering it's Daft Punk it's maybe likely it is a Moog as they use really good gear.

Maybe try a pulse width modulated square waveform as a starting point, the mono polyphony limit and the slide/legato alone are a major part of that patch, the squelchy elements are probably the modulation set up.

Maybe try velocity to some of the filter settings in the mod matrix. Then as you "spider" your fingers from one single note to the next that and the legato+modulation should start to get into that patches territory.

I'm sure someone who actually can play can offer much more, I find my way but I certainly can't play proficiently. (god bless MIDI ). And a microkorg owner I bet could get real specific.

I'd have to think there's a factory patch in the Korg that might be a good starting point. Most virtual analogues have a few Moog inspired patches and that general sound is all over in the the late 70's and 80's in Italian House, Boogie records and west coast funk like Lakeside and Roger and Zapp, also Funkadelic and George Clinton used those tones a lot.

Speaking of Clinton, watching some Bernie Worrell videos might net you Bernie doing something like that before you eyes. I've seen vids of him just having fun talking synthesis.

Cannot get any closer than this, at least with my skills. Got the Microkorg a few days ago, my first synth ever.

Although I don't need the same exact sound I'm still far from satisfied. What am I doing wrong?

you're using not enough resonance on the filter and a too long attack on the amp envelope, i also believe the original uses the glide/legato function to slide from one pitch to the next, and the LFO is both faster and deeper i believe
