Is there a way to setup folders from the hardware?

okay so i navigated to the slice number and hit window, no luck. where is this in the manual?

Yes, in BROWSER, highlight a folder with the cursor, press SET (F1), select the folder shortcut number, do it.

Its OK, I seem to have fixed this issue by reinstalling the Driver and MPC software again. Now the 64bit plugin appears in Logic 64bit.

However i want to use the mpc software as a plug in inside my daw (studio one 64 bits) and when i open the mpc 64 vst it tells me it will remain silent until i open up the standalone mpc soft and unlock it...so i close my daw and all and open the standalone...and it is actually registered, in both 64 bits and in 32 bits mode.

It seems it just won't let me unlock the plug-in while the standalone is unlocked already...

Try uninstalling the MPC software and driver...and then reinstalling both software and driver.

i tried uninstalling mpc software + mpc ren driver + my daw. then i reinstalled. but no luck.
i ckecked administrator priviledges to make sure they're here when i install and i launch but no luck.
i checked everything i could within my daw but no luck either.

The problem is when i reinstall, the mpc software doesn't even ask to unlock it, it remembers it was already activated.

i sent a ticket but i guess i'll have to format my computer to eventually solve it...

Or maybe you know a regedit key i should delete or modify to get the unlock process back from scratch ('m on windows 7 64 bits)?

OK.

After spending 2 hours on it yesterday evening, and 3 hours this evening, i'm happy to report i was able to solve my problem.

Here is what happened :

I was initially on Ren 1.3.1 and i used my MPC Software 100% as standalone mode until yesterday. So i had never unlocked the plug in version when i was under 1.3.1.

When i installed 1.4 yesterday i unlocked my 1.4 standalone software then i tried 1.4 plug in inside my daw.

YOU WILL BE STUCK AND UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE PLUGIN VST IF YOU DONT UNLOCK BOTH STANDALONE AND PLUGIN VERSION WHILE YOU ARE UNDER THE SAME VERSION. YOU CANNOT UNLOCK STANDALONE 1.3 THEN PLUG IN UNDER 1.4 !

I had to go back to 1.3.1 then remove the .dll files of the mpc plugins. Then i unlocked plugin version under 1.3.1 within my daw.
After that i updated to 1.4 again, run standalone and close it, then i tried the plugin version within my daw and....tadaaa it worked !

Also make sure you delete the actual 1.4 .dll before you unlock your 1.3 plugin.

That's because the MPC.settings file containing activation settings is not deleted when you uninstall, only the core drivers and software app are removed.

Use the SCROLL to select Q link column 4. Zoom is then the bottom Q link, scroll is the Q link above it.

What is the difference between:
1. PROG EDIT -> INSERT 1, INSERT 2, INSERT 3, INSERT 4
2. PROG MIX -> [INSERT] A01, A02, A03, A04, ...

I know PROG MIX let's me insert plugins to each beatpad (which is the a01, a02, etc), but what about the PROG EDIT inserts 1 through 4? and send(s)?

I thought with an MPC, the pads and the master are the only guys that plugins should go with? What's program?

There's TRACK (recorded on horizontal lines), PADS (or keys), MASTER (for the whole music), but how does someone explain programs?

Scenario: Regardless of which synth I am using (but currently mentioning NI MASSIVE), the sixteen beatpads play an octave much too low - it starts on C-2 (negative). I need it to play whatever note in two octaves higher - like C1, C2, C3.

Question: Is there a way to have the pads start playing (its MIDI) a higher octave when I pull up the VST? Similar to the "Octave +/-" buttons that we see on tiny midi keyboards that only have about 30~40 keys?

like on this guy, there's a OCTAVE DOWN / UP..


How can I do that without using a mouse on a vst I pull up? Right now, I have to use the mouse to scroll up the piano-key diagram, and click on C2 for the pads to start playing on that octave.
