Not what you're asking for but.....
Why not saving the sound for every new beat within the beat on the MPC.
You can use the sysex data dump for the basspatch you create and record this data in the MPC sequencer (pg62 microkorg manual).
*create a sequence with a name like "sysex microkorg" or so
*set the MPC MIDI filter to enable sysex (default setting of MIDI filter is often disabled)
*Hit record and start the midi dump from the microkorg
Now everytime you load the song into the MPC play the sysex sequence first and your microkorg will be set to the bass patch you've created.
This is not a simple "program change" but actually writing and reading all the parameters your patch is made of.
